KASHGAR (Internews): President Asif Ali Zardari said that investing in youth and education is highly significant for strengthening long-term ties between Pakistan and China.

He was speaking on Saturday during his visit to Kashgar University in Xinjiang on Saturday, where he interacted with students and faculty members and encouraged them to deepen academic and cultural linkages. Highlighting the Pak-China Strategic Cooperative Partnership, the President particularly noted the institution’s role as the closest Chinese university to Pakistan and as a bridge for academic and cultural exchange between the two countries.

He lauded the University’s contribution to education across diverse fields like science, engineering, technology, agriculture, social sciences, arts, culture, music, and dance.

The President also met Pakistani students at the university, most of them hailed from Gilgit, Hunza, Dir, and Chitral. He asked about the quality of their education and living conditions.
