
The Power Division has released a detailed update on the restoration of electricity in flood-affected areas, reporting major progress across multiple power distribution companies.
According to the report on 20 September, a total of 51 grid stations and 579 feeders were impacted by the floods. Out of these, 350 feeders have been fully restored while 222 have been partially energized.
In Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO) areas, 28 grid stations and 81 feeders were affected. So far, 54 feeders have been fully restored and 27 partially restored. Work is expected to be completed by September 20, ensuring power supply to approximately 24,698 affected consumers.
Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) reported 67 affected feeders, out of which 66 have been fully restored and one partially restored. Power supply to 441 affected consumers is expected to be fully restored by September 21. LESCO confirmed that restoration work in Lahore, Nankana, Sheikhupura, and Okara has been completed.
In Multan Electric Power Company (MEPCO) areas, 181 feeders were impacted. So far, 21 feeders have been fully restored and 153 partially energized. The Power Division noted that full restoration work will resume once floodwaters recede.
In Gujranwala Electric Power Company (GEPCO) areas, 11 grid stations and 103 feeders were damaged. Of these, 101 feeders have been fully restored and two partially restored. Power for 204 remaining consumers will be restored as soon as water levels allow.
Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO) reported that 88 feeders have been fully restored and three partially restored. Full power restoration has been achieved in Swat, Swabi, and Dera Ismail Khan districts.
Tribal Electric Supply Company (TESCO) reported 18 feeders affected in North Waziristan and Khyber districts. Restoration work has been completed on 17 feeders, with one feeder partially restored. Work is expected to be fully completed by September 20. Power supply in Khyber has already been fully restored.
In Hazara Electric Supply Company (HAZECO) areas, all three affected feeders in Mansehra have been fully restored.
In Sukkur Electric Power Company (SEPCO) areas, 35 affected feeders have been temporarily restored to resume partial power supply.
The Power Division emphasized that restoration efforts are ongoing and that work in the remaining areas will be completed as soon as conditions allow.
