LAHORE: Bollywood actress Disha Patani and her family narrowly escaped a shocking gun attack outside their home in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh.
According to media reports, the incident occurred around 3:30 a.m. on Friday when two unidentified men on a motorcycle opened indiscriminate fire at Patani’s residence. Thankfully, the actress and her family were unharmed.
Soon after the attack, notorious gangsters Rohit Godara and Goldy Brar claimed responsibility through a social media post. In their statement, the gang warned that the shooting was “just a trailer” and threatened to kill members of Patani’s family if any “disrespect” was shown again.
The gang alleged the attack was linked to controversial remarks made by Disha’s sister, Khushboo Patani, against their spiritual leaders Premanand Maharaj and Anirudhacharya Ji Maharaj.
“This is not just for her but a warning to the entire Bollywood industry and everyone associated with it,” the gang declared in their chilling post.
Meanwhile, Disha Patani’s father, Jagdish Patani, has filed a police complaint, after which five special investigation teams have been formed to probe the case.
