Ali Sisters face off in final, Mahnoor clinches 22nd gold medal

KARACHI: Pakistani squash player Mahnoor Ali from Peshawar has won the US Southeast Junior Gold Squash Circuit title after defeating her younger sister Sehrish Ali in the final.

Mahnoor, the eldest of the Ali sisters, claimed her 22nd gold medal by beating Sehrish 3-1 in a thrilling contest. The final was held at the Luthcke-Meyer Athletic Center in Baltimore, Maryland.

Mahnoor took the opening game 11-7, but Sehrish fought back to level the match by winning the second game 11-9. Mahnoor then showed her experience and skill, winning the next two games 11-6 and 11-7 to seal the victory and lift the trophy.

While Mahnoor added another international gold medal to her collection, Sehrish had to settle for the silver, missing out on what could have been her 19th international gold.
