
LAHORE: Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Shehrbano Naqvi has earned a historic honor by being selected for the prestigious Asia 21 Next Generation Fellowship. She is the first female police officer from Pakistan to be chosen for this fellowship.
According to a Punjab Police spokesperson, Shehrbano Naqvi was selected for the Class of 2025 in recognition of her dedicated efforts to protect vulnerable communities and her contributions toward bringing positive change to the system.
The fellowship, awarded by Asia Society is considered outstanding achievements of 30 individuals from 27 countries across the region. ASP Shehrbano Naqvi will represent Pakistan at the fellowship.
The Asia 21 Next Generation Summit will be held in Manila, Philippines, from December 5 to 7, where selected fellows will present practical ideas to address social challenges.
Inspector General of Punjab Police, Dr. Usman Anwar, congratulated ASP Shehrbano Naqvi on this achievement, saying she has brought pride to Pakistan and Punjab Police. He added that international recognition of Punjab Police officers highlights their professionalism and talent. He said officers like Shehrbano Naqvi will play a vital role in future police leadership.
