Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty’s husband, businessman Raj Kundra, has been served with a look-out notice in connection with an alleged ₹60 crore fraud case, ensuring he cannot leave the country while the investigation is underway.

According to media reports, the complaint was filed by businessman Deepak Kothari, who accused Kundra and Shetty of cheating him through their now-defunct company, Best Deal TV Pvt Ltd. The Mumbai Police’s Economic Offences Wing has forwarded the notice to immigration authorities to prevent the couple from traveling abroad.

Kothari alleged that the duo initially sought funds as a loan, later presenting it as an investment with a promise of monthly returns. Between 2015 and 2023, the company reportedly collected money under the guise of business capital but allegedly diverted it for personal use.

The complaint further states that Shilpa Shetty resigned as director in 2016, after which the company went bankrupt.

Reacting to the allegations, the couple’s lawyer denied any wrongdoing, arguing that the matter was purely civil in nature and carried no criminal aspect.

The police, however, confirmed that investigations are ongoing and the look-out circular was issued strictly to ensure the accused remain available for questioning.
