ISLAMABAD: Actress and TV host Mishi Khan has lashed out at the growing trend of late-night immoral activities on the streets of major Pakistani cities, comparing the scenes to Bangkok.
In a strongly worded video message posted on Instagram, Mishi Khan expressed deep concern over what she described as “open prostitution and rising vulgarity” in society.
“I have seen many videos. If you go out at midnight, you will see women in burqas openly standing on the roads. In Rawalpindi and Islamabad, girls, women, and even transgenders are found selling sexual services on the streets,” she said.
The actress also criticized the flourishing of so-called massage parlors in the country. “These parlors are full of girls wearing masks, and men keep going there. Everyone knows what happens inside,” she added.
Mishi Khan further linked these practices to natural disasters, saying: “We destroy our own society with these shameless acts, and then we ask why floods and calamities come.”
Her remarks sparked a heated debate online, with many supporting her bold stance, while others accused her of exaggerating the issue.
