
ISLAMABAD: The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has intensified relief operations in flood-affected areas, ensuring the delivery of essential food supplies in coordination with provincial governments.
According to NDMA’s media wing, an eight-truck convoy carrying relief packages was dispatched to Chiniot on Tuesday. Each ration bag weighs 46 kilograms and contains 22 essential food items.
Relief supplies have already been sent to Narowal, Sialkot, Hafizabad, and Wazirabad, while preparations are underway to deliver aid to Jhang. NDMA has also finalized a plan to provide relief packages to six flood-hit districts of Punjab.
The authority stated that these efforts are being carried out with the support of the private sector and industries to maximize national resources.
Acting on the Prime Minister’s directives, NDMA reaffirmed its commitment to continue relief operations and work with all relevant institutions for the rehabilitation of flood victims.
