Sharjah: Authorities in Sharjah have issued new protocols for cricket fans attending the ongoing Tri-Nation T20 Series, urging supporters to cheer for their own teams while avoiding offensive chants or gestures against opponents.
According to officials, spectators must remain seated in their designated stands, avoid moving between sections, and refrain from unruly behavior or running during the match. Fans have also been advised to respect one another, follow UAE laws, and uphold the true spirit of the game.
The advisory comes after the second T20 of the series, where Pakistan defeated hosts UAE by 31 runs. Played at the iconic Sharjah Cricket Stadium, Pakistan set a target of 208 runs, while UAE could only manage 176 for 8 in 20 overs.
Officials stressed that maintaining discipline and respect in the stands is essential to ensure a family-friendly and enjoyable cricket atmosphere for all.
