
Rawalpindi: The Punjab Highway Patrol (PHP) Rawalpindi Region has released its performance report for August 2025, highlighting major achievements under the supervision of Regional Officer DSP Muhammad Irfan Butt.
According to the report, police registered 85 FIRs, recovering a pistol with five rounds, two stolen vehicles, one motorcycle, and liquor. During the month, 43 proclaimed offenders and 42 court absconders were arrested.
In traffic enforcement, the force issued 30,755 e-challans, while 61 drivers were booked for installing substandard gas cylinders in vehicles. A total of 87,922 individuals and 340,816 vehicles were checked through the e-app system.
The PHP also assisted 271 distressed travelers, provided first aid in three cases, and safely reunited four missing children with their families. Additionally, 548 driving licenses were issued, while 1,651 underage riders and 2,186 motorcyclists without documents or helmets had their bikes impounded.
Community policing remained a focus, with road safety workshops, medical clinics, and awareness meetings organized across the region. Notably, free medical camps and a blood donation drive for thalassemia patients collected 218 blood units, earning widespread appreciation from the public.
