ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s textile exports surged by over 32 percent during the first month of the current fiscal year 2025-2026, compared to the same period of the last fiscal year, officials from the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) said on Thursday.

The textile exports were recorded at 1.679 billion U.S. dollars during July 2025, as against 1.271 billion dollars during July of the last fiscal year, showing a growth of 32.10 percent, PBS officials said.

Meanwhile, on a month-on-month basis, textile exports from the country went up 10.39 percent in July as compared to 1.521 billion dollars recorded in the previous month, said the PBS.

The PBS said that cotton yarn, cotton cloth, knitwear, bed wear, towels, and ready-made garments were among the commodities that contributed to trade growth in the textile sector.
