Ana de Armas is gearing up for what insiders are calling a major collaboration with Tom Cruise, as the two stars prepare to begin shooting for their upcoming thriller Deeper.
According to a source quoted by People, the 37-year-old Cuban-Spanish actress and the 63-year-old Mission: Impossible star recently spent time together in Vermont, where Ana owns a home, before heading to England for a short break.
“Now, they are still very focused on kicking off their new project together. It’s a very important project for both of them. They’ll have an intense shooting schedule, but they are ready,” the source told People.
The insider described de Armas as being both “excited and nervous” about working alongside Cruise for the first time.
“She knows Tom has high standards on set, but she’s ready for the challenge,” the source added, noting that the Ballerina actress wants to “bring her best” to the role.
While the duo has not publicly commented on the nature of their personal relationship, they were previously seen together in February, sparking romance rumours. Neither Cruise nor de Armas has confirmed any such development.
“Ana loves Vermont. It’s her place to rest and recharge. She was excited to host Tom and show him around. She took him to all her favorite spots,” the insider revealed.
Both Cruise and de Armas are known for their commitment to action-heavy roles. Cruise, renowned for performing his own stunts, is expected to bring his signature intensity to the thriller, while Ana continues to establish herself as a rising action star in Hollywood.
Details about Deeper remain under wraps, but the film is being described by industry observers as a high-stakes psychological thriller.
