The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) Punjab has issued a flood alert for several rivers across the province as the fourth spell of monsoon rains continues to lash various regions.
According to the PDMA, a high-level flood is expected in the Jhelum, Chenab, and Ravi rivers between July 21 and 23, while increased water flow is feared in the Sutlej River at Ganda Singhwala between July 22 and 24.
A spokesperson for PDMA confirmed that the current monsoon spell is likely to persist until July 25, raising the risk of flooding in low-lying and river-adjacent areas.

In response to the warning, PDMA Punjab has issued alerts to commissioners of Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Multan, Dera Ghazi Khan, Lahore, Sahiwal, and Bahawalpur.
