Alleged illegal appointment, corruption uncovered in SPSC

2 min read

Allegations of illegal appointments and corruption have emerged within the Sindh Public Service Commission (SPSC), raising serious concerns over transparency and governance.

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has launched an investigation against the former SPSC chairman and several other individuals in connection with these allegations.

NAB has requested the SPSC’s current chairman to provide records of 16 officials, including former chairman Noor Muhammad Jadmani.

The accountability watchdog has directed the chairman to submit the complete documentation within one week.

NAB has also demanded a full record of all legal petitions filed against the SPSC in the courts. This includes both resolved cases and those that are still pending.

Records pertaining to former chairmen, members, secretaries, the controller, and additional controller—totalling 16 officials—have been formally requested.

Sources claim that during the initial inquiry, officials produced incomplete records relating to the appointments.

NAB officials expressed displeasure over the failure to submit full documentation and have now ordered that the complete record be provided within a week.

According to sources, beneficiaries of the alleged illegal appointments will be summoned in the next phase of the investigation.

It is alleged that several government officers, after passing the SPSC examination, facilitated the appointment of two or three of their own children to government jobs through the commission.
