
U.S. President Donald Trump will host a luncheon today in honour of Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir. According to the White House spokesperson, the luncheon will be held in the Cabinet Room, where Field Marshal Munir is also scheduled to have a significant meeting with President Trump.
Earlier, a grand reception was held in Washington to welcome Field Marshal Asim Munir during his official visit to the United States. The overseas Pakistani community warmly received the Army Chief and paid tribute to the bravery of the Pakistan Army, particularly in Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos.
In his address, Field Marshal Munir praised the role of overseas Pakistanis, calling them the true ambassadors of the nation. He highlighted their vital contribution to Pakistan’s economic credibility and growth, acknowledging their efforts in remittances, investments, and achievements in various sectors.
The Army Chief described the expatriate community as the backbone of national development.
He also emphasised the importance of strengthening ties and collaboration with the overseas Pakistani community to tackle challenges and work towards a prosperous Pakistan collectively. Members of the diaspora shared their thoughts, experiences, and suggestions with the Army Chief, reaffirming their commitment to building a stronger, safer, and more stable Pakistan.
