
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Monday extended heartfelt congratulations to Lahore Qalandars on clinching their third Pakistan Super League (PSL) title.
In a statement issued from Istanbul, the premier also praised the Quetta Gladiators for their spirited display in the high-stakes final, acknowledging the competitive spirit shown by all teams in the tournament.
The Qalandars secured a six-wicket victory over the Gladiators, chasing down a formidable 202-run target in the final over to lift the PSL 10 trophy.
With this win, Lahore have now claimed three titles in four years — previously triumphing in 2022 and 2023 — further cementing their place as one of the most successful franchises in the league’s history.
“The entire PSL 10 has been a celebration of Pakistan’s sporting spirit,” the Prime Minister said, applauding the quality of cricket throughout the tournament. He lauded the players — particularly the international contingent — for their commitment, which he said significantly contributed to the tournament’s success.
Premier Sharif also congratulated Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi, board members, and support staff for the successful organization of the event’s milestone 10th edition. He said the tournament had not only provided high-quality entertainment for cricket fans but also projected a positive image of Pakistan globally.
“PSL 10 has once again proven that Pakistan has the talent, infrastructure, and the passion to host world-class cricket,” he added.
