‘If you dare attack again, what’s left will also be destroyed,’ PM Shehbaz warns Modi

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif issued on Wednesday a firm warning to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, stating that if India dared launch another attack, “whatever is left will also be destroyed.”

During a visit to the Pasrur military cantonment near Sialkot, PM Shehbaz was briefed on the operational preparedness of the armed forces. He was joined by Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal and Information Minister Atta Tarar. Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Gen Asim Munir and Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Babar Sidhu were also present.

– India launched aggression based on lies, arrogance and ego –

In his address, the prime minister condemned India’s actions, stating, “India initiated aggressive operations against Pakistan on the basis of false pretences, arrogance and ego. Despite our offer to investigate, they deliberately chose the path of hostility.”

PM Shehbaz added, “Open aggression was carried out against innocent civilians, resulting in the martyrdom of children, women and the elderly. Labeling innocent civilians as terrorists is shameful and a violation of international laws, principles, and ethics.”

– Swift response and national pride –

He noted that history would remember how swiftly the Pakistani forces thwarted the aggression. “Our martyrs have always brought honour to the nation and will continue to do so,” he said. “The armed forces crushed the enemy’s pride and raised the honour of our country.”

The prime minister extended congratulations to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, the Army Chief, the Air Chief and the Naval Chief, praising their leadership.

– Armed forces are nation’s crown –

Commending the role of the Army Chief, PM Shehbaz said, “Gen Asim Munir planned the operation wisely. I met with him during the conflict, and I’m proud of him. The Army, Air, and Naval Chiefs have become the pride of the nation. Our forces have uplifted the nation’s spirit, left the enemy in disarray, and boosted the morale of our allies.”

– Warning to India on water and retaliation –

PM Shehbaz had warned India not to tamper with water resources. “Blocking our water is a red line. Mr Modi must remember who trained the Mukti Bahini in 1971. Threads of the Jaffar Express incident link back to BLA, TTP and India. We will eliminate terrorism once and for all. And how did Kulbhushan Jadhav reach Balochistan?”

He added sharply, “Mr Modi, keep your rhetoric to yourself. Pakistan seeks peace, progress, and prosperity in the region. Do not mistake our desire for peace as weakness. India’s dream of regional dominance has been shattered.”

“We Seek Peace — But Are Prepared for War”

PM Shehbaz had denounced India’s alleged night-time attack, likening it to a “thief in the dark.” He declared, “If you choose this path again, you will face devastating consequences. We are advocates of peace — let us bring peace to the region together. But if war is imposed, we are fully prepared.”

He said, “India tried to damage our Neelum–Jhelum Dam. Had it been destroyed, we would have retaliated by demolishing all Indian dams. We are ready for both war and peace — the choice is yours.”
