According to a statement issued by the Directorate General of Media of the National Assembly (NA) Secretariat, NA Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has summoned a meeting of the Parliamentary Committee on National Security.
The meeting will be held tomorrow, Tuesday at 11:00 AM in the National Assembly Hall. Civil and military leadership will attend the National Security Committee meeting.
“The meeting of the Parliamentary Committee on National Security will be held in-camera,” NA Directorate General of Media said.
National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq will chair the meeting. A briefing on the security situation will be given in the national security meeting.
The statement also said that in the meeting, the military leadership will brief the parliamentary committee on the current security situation. Parliamentary leaders of all political parties present in parliament and their nominated representatives will attend the meeting.
Cabinet members will also attend the national security meeting, the statement said.
