The security forces on Sunday killed seven terrorists in two separate intelligence-based operations (IBOs) in Dera Ismail Khan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the first operation was carried out in Daraban, where security forces launched an offensive after receiving intelligence report about the presence of terrorists. During the engagement, four terrorists were killed as troops effectively targeted their location.

In another operation in the Maddi area, security forces engaged another group of terrorists, resulting in the killing of three more militants.

The ISPR said that weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the khwarij, who remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities in the area.

Sanitisation operations are being conducted to eliminate any other terrorist found in the area as the security forces of Pakistan are determined to wipe out the menace of terrorism from the country.
