The security forces eliminated three terrorists during an intelligence-based operation in North Waziristan, said the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
According to the ISPR, the operation took place in Dattakhel during the night between February 6 and 7. A fierce clash erupted, resulting in the deaths of three militants. The eliminated insurgents had attempted to escape under the guise of female attire.
A cache of weapons and ammunition had been seized from the slain militants.
The ISPR revealed that those neutralised had been involved in multiple acts of terrorism in the region.
A sanitisation operation remained underway in the area to clear any potential threats.
The ISPR reiterated that the security forces stood resolute in their mission to eradicate terrorism from the country.
