Authorities have started considering hosting a cricket match at Peshawar’s Arbab Niaz Stadium after a gap of 20 years.

According to police officials, an ICC delegation visited the stadium to assess its suitability for hosting PSL matches. The team conducted a comprehensive survey of the ground, pavilion, route for foreign players, and hotel access.

The Peshawar Police Chief briefed the ICC team on the security arrangements in place.

Officials stated that plans include setting up a shuttle service for fans, drone surveillance, and the construction of a helipad near the stadium. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is considering hosting two PSL matches in Peshawar this April.

Authorities assured that robust security measures will be implemented, especially for foreign players.

Notably, the last international match at Arbab Niaz Stadium was played in 2006 between Pakistan and India
