
President Asif Ali Zardari fractured his foot while disembarking a plane at Dubai International Airport last night, according to a spokesperson for the President Office.
The spokesperson said that the president was immediately taken to a hospital for preliminary medical care, where doctors examined and plastered the injured foot.
“The plaster cast will remain on for four weeks, and doctors have advised complete rest. Following the treatment, President Zardari was transferred home to recover,” the spokesperson said.
It should be rmembered that President Asif Ali Zardari was suppoed to embark on a four-day visit to China from November 4 to 7 to discuss the phase-two of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
The president was also supposed to meet Chinese President Xi Jinping and other top officials to discuss matters of mutual importance including Pak-China relations and regional and global issues.
