Ayatollah Ali Khamenei praises Iran’s Army for striking missiles in Israel

The leader of the Islamic revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei has commended the Iranian armed forces for their recent missile strike on the Tel Aviv area, calling it a “completely legal and legitimate” action.

Speaking during Friday prayers at the Imam Khomeini Grand Mosalla mosque in central Tehran, Ayatollah Khamenei hailed the military’s “brilliant work” and reiterated Iran’s firm stance against Israeli aggression.

The Friday prayers followed a commemoration ceremony for Hezbollah leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, who was recently assassinated in an Israeli airstrike in Beirut.

In an emotional tribute, Ayatollah Khamenei referred to Nasrallah as “my brother, my dear, and my pride,” calling him a “shining jewel of Lebanon” and a powerful voice for the Islamic world.

Addressing the global Islamic community, particularly the people of Lebanon and Palestine, Ayatollah Khamenei emphasized that while Nasrallah’s martyrdom is a deep loss, it serves as a source of strength and inspiration, akin to the mourning for Imam Hussein (AS).

He praised Nasrallah as a fearless defender of the oppressed, whose influence extended far beyond Lebanon, Iran, and the Arab world. The Leader expressed his confidence that Nasrallah’s legacy would continue to inspire resistance and justice seekers across the region.

Ayatollah Khamenei last led Friday prayers in January 2020, following Iran’s missile strikes on a US base in Iraq in retaliation for the assassination of Brigadier Gen Qassem Soleimani.
