Hunting of ducks, Dabchicks banned

1 min read

The district administration of Peshawar has announced a ban on the hunting of ducks and geese (murghabi), effective immediately and lasting until November 2024.

This decision aims to protect these birds during their migration season and to preserve their population from potential harm.

In an official statement, the administration highlighted that the hunting of ducks and geese, as well as the delivery and trade of these birds, is strictly prohibited. The move is part of ongoing efforts to safeguard wildlife and ensure sustainable ecological practices in the region.

Officials have warned that strict legal action will be taken against anyone found violating this ban.
