Students in Multan, Rawalpindi, and Faisalabad have brought pride to their families by achieving outstanding success in the annual Intermediate examinations 2024, with girls securing top positions in all three cities.
In Multan, the results marked a historic moment as Zarlish Fatima, Wajiha Afzal, and Arfa Batool, jointly secured the first position with 1158 marks.
Wajiha, whose father is a teacher, expressed her gratitude for his support in her studies. Zarlish shared her joy at securing a top position, and parents across the region celebrated their children’s success.
The third position in Multan was claimed by Sajal Sohail, the daughter of a driver, who achieved 1127 marks. Her father, Muhammad Sohail, expressed his deep gratitude, thanking God for his daughter’s remarkable achievement. “She has worked really hard for it, and there was some effort from our side as well,” he remarked.
The overall success rate in the Multan Intermediate exams was recorded at 63.52%.
In Rawalpindi, girls dominated the results, sweeping the top three positions. Natasha Rizwan secured the overall first position in the Rawalpindi board with 1142 marks. Natasha attributed her success to her constant hard work, the dedication of her teachers, and the prayers of her parents. She emphasized the importance of faith, self-confidence, and perseverance in achieving one’s goals.
“When your goals are in front of you, and you work hard, God rewards you,” she remarked.
In the Rawalpindi board, girls also excelled in specific groups, securing first positions in FSc, ICS, and ICom. The overall success rate in Rawalpindi’s intermediate exams was 56.75%.
Other position-holders said getting a position in the ICS exam was a dream and the result of a mother’s prayers. Another also mentioned how her routine was not too strict, as she studied for two to three hours a day.
Faisalabad also witnessed girls excelling in the Intermediate examinations. Sadia, the daughter of a roadside stall holder, topped the pre-engineering group, surpassing all her peers. Sadia dedicated her achievement to her father’s hard work and support.
In a particularly inspiring story from Faisalabad, Haseeb, a visually impaired student, secured the third position in the arts group. Haseeb refused to let his disability hold him back and shared his ambition to pursue CSS and become a foreign secretary. His success highlights the determination and resilience of students facing significant challenges.
The Faisalabad Education Board reported a success rate of over 71% in the Intermediate examinations.
