Pakistan pace attack’s Test performance since 2022 faces scrutiny

Pakistan’s fast bowlers have struggled in Test cricket since 2022, taking only 116 wickets over this period. In 17 matches across 34 innings.

Pakistan’s pacers have an average of 38.78, and have conceded the most runs compared to their peers.

In contrast, South Africa’s pace attack leads the chart with 222 wickets in 20 matches at an average of 25.76.

England’s bowlers have claimed 398 wickets in 33 matches, maintaining a better average of 26.31.

Australia followed with 309 wickets in 29 matches at an average of 26.94.

India, often criticised for its bowling, has managed 161 wickets in 21 matches at an average of 27.91.

Sri Lanka, New Zealand, West Indies, and Bangladesh also feature in this list but with less impressive figures compared to the top teams.
