
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif honored the martyred officers and personnel on Police Martyrs’ Day, describing it as a day to remember the courage and bravery of the police.
He noted that “the sacrifices of the police who laid down their lives while suppressing crimes are eternal.” Sharif acknowledged the police’s role as the frontline in the war against terrorism, praising their dedication to securing the nation’s future.
“Police officers have always sacrificed their lives to make the future of the nation safe and bright,” he stated.
Prime Minister reaffirmed that “police martyrs are the pride of the nation,” and that “the whole nation salutes the martyrs.”
He committed to ensuring that the government will take care of the families of martyred officers and officials, emphasizing that “the federal government will take all possible measures for the education and health of the children of martyrs.” Sharif also recalled his tenure as Chief Minister of Punjab, during which he provided a significant package to the families of police martyrs.
Punjab IG Dr. Usman Anwar conveyed his tribute on Police Martyrs’ Day, noting, “We pay tribute to the eternal sacrifices of police officers and youths who were martyred in the line of duty.”
He emphasized that “the Punjab Police celebrates August 4th every year as Police Martyrs’ Day.” Anwar recognized the sacrifice of “1,638 brave martyrs of the Punjab Police who gave their lives fighting against criminal elements,” highlighting that “martyrs of the police sacrificed their today for the dear country and secured the tomorrow of the nation.”
He saluted the “mothers of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the dear country” and expressed admiration for the families of these “great sons who achieved the great position of martyrdom.”
As Chief of the Punjab Police, Anwar promised that “the best welfare of the martyrs’ families is my top priority,” assuring that “on every occasion of happiness and sadness, the police department and the force will never leave you alone.”
He concluded by emphasizing that “today is the day to renew the pledge with martyrs; living nations never forget their heroes.”
Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Memon’s Tribute on Police Martyrs’ Day
Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Memon paid tribute to the Sindh Police on Police Martyrs’ Day, stating that “Martyrs of the Sindh Police will always be remembered as the epitome of true bravery.”
He emphasized that “the sacrifices of the Sindh Police for the protection of the land and the nation can never be forgotten.”
Memon highlighted the pride and respect the Government of Sindh and its people hold for their police, praising their courage and sacrifice.

Police Martyrs Day is being celebrated with great devotion and respect across Pakistan. Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi salutes the great sacrifices of all police martyrs. He emphasizes that Martyrs’ Day is a day to remember the eternal sacrifices of the brave children of the police.
