The National Emergencies Operation Center of the NDMA has forecasted rainfall and thunderstorms in southern and northeastern Punjab over the next 24 hours.
Rainfall and thundershowers are also anticipated in the northeastern regions of Sindh within the next 24 to 48 hours. The system is expected to bring scattered rain, with some areas potentially experiencing heavy downpours.
This includes areas such as Mithi, Sanghar, Mirpurkhas, Matiari, Jamshoro, Umarkot, Tharparkar, Khairpur, Thatta, Badin, Chhor, Padidan, Sajawal, Karachi, Hyderabad, Tando Allahyar, Shaheed Benazirabad, Sukkur, Larkana, Jacobabad, Dadu, and their surrounding areas.
In addition, scattered showers are predicted for the Potohar region and cities including Sialkot, Gujranwala, Lahore, Faisalabad, Sargodha, and Sahiwal, along with their vicinity. Heavy rain and isolated intense showers are also expected in Bahawalpur, Multan, Dera Ghazi Khan, and adjacent areas.
Urban flooding and inundation are anticipated in these areas. Residents are also advised to secure outdoor items that may be affected by strong winds and heavy rain.
