Government and military leadership’s efforts to revive the national economy and address the electricity crisis are showing results. The ongoing crackdown on electricity theft has recovered Rs103 billion and led to the arrest of over 83,000 individuals across the country.

From June 23 to 30, relevant agencies collected more than Rs1.8 billion from electricity thieves in Lahore, Gujranwala, Faisalabad, Multan, and Islamabad. Additionally, Rs603.5 million were recovered from Peshawar, Hyderabad, Sukkur, and Quetta.

Authorities remain committed to continuing their operations until the complete eradication of electricity theft nationwide. This campaign is part of the government’s broader strategy to stabilize the economy and improve the power sector’s performance.
