Pakistan Threek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Asad Qaiser and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam supremo Maulana Fazlur Rehman met and discussed the political and law and order situation in the country.

Both leaders expressed concern about the worsening peace and order, especially in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), noting the rise in lawlessness.

During their discussions, they agreed that a military operation was not the solution.

Instead, they emphasized the need for political parties to work together for peace in the province. To this end, they decided to establish a political committee between their parties to address concerns and develop future political strategies.

Both leaders also agreed to act as a strong opposition in the National Assembly and to foster better relations with Afghanistan. Additionally, they called for the establishment of an economic corridor at crossing points with Afghanistan to enhance economic ties.
