Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) neutralised a key commander of the banned outfit Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan Tipu Gul group in Lakki Marwat operation.

The operation, executed on a credible tip-off, targeted the notorious militant figure, Wali Allah alias Wali, near Tajuri Road close to Malang Adda.

According to sources within the CTD, upon approaching the hideout, armed terrorists initiated heavy gunfire, prompting a swift and retaliatory response from law enforcement personnel.

“In the exchange of fire that ensued, Wali Allah alias Wali, son of Hazrat Ali from Bachkan Ahmedzai, succumbed to injuries sustained during the encounter,” stated a spokesperson from the CTD.

The deceased, identified as a local commander of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan Tipu Gul group, was not only a significant figure within the militant network but also the son-in-law of Commander Atiqur Rehman alias Tipu Gul Marwat.

Wali Allah was wanted in connection with multiple cases involving bomb blasts targeting CTD installations in Bannu and DI Khan, as well as several attacks on local police and security forces.

Upon searching the site, law enforcement recovered a cache of arms and two hand grenades from the possession of the slain militant commander.
