Foreign Office spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch in a weekly news briefing said there was no exchange of congratulatory letters between the leadership of Pakistan and India.

The spokesperson said Pakistan did not want to comment on India’s internal affairs. The FO spokesperson refrained from responding to the ban on passports of asylum seekers abroad.

“The issue of passports and immigration by the Pakistan government related to the Ministry of Interior,” Zahra Baloch said.

Mumtaz Zahra Baloch said no independent country took Indian authorities seriously.

Mumtaz Zahra Baloch said there is no need to interfere in India’s internal affairs. “A congratulatory message to Modi from the Prime Minister Shehbaz has been sent via tweet,” she added.

She said it is a necessary tradition to congratulate the ruler of a country. “It is not necessary to comment on the allegations of Indian media,” Mumtaz Baloch said.
