Indian singer and musician Vishal Dadlani has stepped forward to support a female security officer who slapped Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut at Chandigarh airport.

The incident, which occurred due to a disagreement over Ranaut’s remarks about farmers, led to the suspension of the officer, identified as Kalwinder Kaur, by the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF).

Kangana Ranaut, known for her controversial statements and outspoken nature, reportedly made comments that were deemed disrespectful towards farmers. This provoked Kaur, who slapped the actress in a moment of anger.

Reacting to the incident, Vishal Dadlani expressed his understanding of the officer’s frustration. “I do not support violence,” Dadlani stated, “but I can understand the anger that led to this incident.” He further added that if Kaur lost her job over the incident, he would ensure she found employment elsewhere. Dadlani’s offer highlights his empathy towards the officer’s plight and his support for individuals who take a stand, even under challenging circumstances.

The incident has sparked widespread debate, with many on social media expressing mixed reactions. While some condemn the act of violence, others empathize with the officer’s reaction, considering the tense climate surrounding the farmers’ protests.

The CISF’s decision to suspend Kalwinder Kaur has added fuel to the fire, with discussions about the appropriate response to such situations and the balance between professional conduct and personal convictions.
