1 min read

Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfaraz Bugti apologised on Friday for the unfortunate incident where actress Mahira Khan was pelted with objects during a literature festival in Quetta.

The incident occurred when Mahira Khan was addressing the Pakistan Literature Festival (PLF) organized by the Karachi Arts Council of Pakistan (ACP) in Quetta.

A video of the event showed the actress being hit by an object thrown from the audience, leaving her visibly shocked and speechless.

The Chief Minister, who also spoke at the festival’s closing session, condemned the incident and expressed regret over the behaviour of the individual responsible.

“The people of Balochistan are not like that,” he emphasized, distancing the province’s residents from the unacceptable behaviour.

“As a Balochistan individual, I apologize to Mahira Khan and am ashamed that this was done to her in Quetta,” he said, winning hearts with his sincerity.
