Islamabad’s ’11th Avenue’ renamed ‘Iran Avenue’

Islamabad’s “Eleventh Avenue” is renamed “Iran Avenue” by the government of Pakistan on the visit of the Iranian president to Pakistan.

Another important development has taken place in strengthening and consolidating Pakistan-Iran friendship, Islamabad’s “Eleventh Avenue” has been renamed as “Iran Avenue”.

After the approval, the Interior Ministry wrote a letter to the CDA officials, according to the spokesperson of CDA, the implementation on the orders to rename the highway after Iran has started.

On the other hand, a meeting was held between Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Iranian President Dr Syed Ibrahim Raisi at the Prime Minister’s House, in which they discussed the promotion of bilateral relations, increasing cooperation and agreed on joint efforts to end terrorism.

In the meeting between the Iranian President and Shehbaz Sharif, both leaders expressed good wishes to each other. The Prime Minister said that the nation of Pakistan, including me, welcomes your visit. The Iranian President thanked Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for the warm welcome.
