Ian Bishop extends ‘best wishes’ for newly-appointed CSK captain Gaikwad

Former West Indian cricketer Ian Bishop extended his “best wishes” for newly-appointed Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain Ruturaj Gaikwad.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), the renowned commentator said: “All the best to Ruturaj Gaikwad in taking over the leadership of Chennai Super Kings.”

Bishop acknowledged the brilliance of Mahendra Singh Dhoni as the captain for the Kings.

“Following the brilliant success of MS Dhoni is a wonderful opportunity and at the same time, a significant task for a fan base that demands excellence,” he maintained.

Earlier, the World Cup-winning captain had handed over the CSK’s captaincy to Ruturaj.
