Cricket Australia postpones T20I series against Afghanistan over human rights

Cricket Australia has decided to postpone its three-match men’s T20I series against Afghanistan which was scheduled for August.

The decision was taken on the advice of the Australian government that ‘conditions for women and girls in Afghanistan are getting worse.

According to a CA statement, it’s the third time CA has decided to postpone matches against Afghanistan after making the same ruling on an ODI series that was scheduled for March last year.

Martin Guptill’s circumspect 32-ball 50 and Imad Wasim’s five-for helped Islamabad United bag the title for the third time by outfoxing Multan Sultans in the ninth edition of the Pakistan Super League in Karachi on Monday.
