Google denies reports regarding Gmail closing

2 min read

Tech giant Google has rejected all social media rumors of shutting down the services of Gmail. The information indicates that an unverified email screenshot was posted on social media platform X, formerly Twitter, along with the statement that the services of Gmail will be shortly terminated.

Even so, this screenshot was obtained from an actual email that Google generated in order to remove the basic Hyper Text Markup Language (HTML) view, and a portion of it was used to spread misinformation about Gmail.

According to the post, the company informed the users regarding a crucial fact of Gmail that the services will be discontinued within a few hours.

Public took this fake news as fact since Google claimed that several of its services will be shut down despite being quite popular in masses.

Google has created a webpage called “killed by Google,” whereby the company lists all 293 goods that were later reduced in worth.

But Google only had one response to all of these bogus posts: “Gmail is here to stay.”
