Following Iran and Pakistan’s strikes on each other’s territory over the last two days, Pakistan has become more active and monitoring all the flight entering its airspace
The Civil Aviation Authority has started strict monitoring of all the flights entering from Iran and the west side. Sources confirm that in view of the tense regional situation, officials have been asked to stay alert to all the flights from the west side.
The Air Traffic Control (ATC) has been asked to gather details of Iranian and west-originated flights, while the airspaces of both Pakistan and Iran are open for commercial flights so far.
There has not been any strict monitoring of flights coming from the west, the sources said, adding that the ATC has not yet received any instructions regarding airspace closure for Iran.
Pakistan on Thursday morning conducted “a series of highly coordinated and specifically targeted precision military strikes” against alleged terrorist hideouts in Sistan-Baluchistan province of Iran in which reportedly “a number of terrorists” were killed.
The action comes a day after Iran carried out airstrikes in Balochistan’s Panjgur area, allegedly targeting the Jaish al-Adl group. The strikes had killed two children and injured three girls.
