Power couple Urwa Hocane and Farhan Saeed welcomed their first child, a baby girl, on Friday.
The overjoyed parents announced the news on their respective Instagram accounts, expressing their love and gratitude for their precious newborn, who they named Jahan Aara Saeed.
The renowned TV and film actors shared a heartwarming post, quoting a verse from Surah Rahman and calling their daughter the “joy, blessing and the most precious gift” of their lives. They also revealed the endearing nickname the family would be using for the baby “Aara”.
“You are the queen of our hearts forever! Thankyou Aara for bringing us unimaginable happiness and gratitude! With your birth it’s a re-birth of us as well, we hope to learn from you and become better and better parents to you everyday,” the star couple wrote, expressing their hopes and dreams for their little one.
They also shared two adorable photos, one showing the new parents individually, gently holding Aara’s tiny hand and the other a heartwarming collage of Urwa and Farhan cradling their baby in their arms. However, they lovingly chose to keep Aara’s face hidden from the public eye.
The couple had announced their pregnancy last October, sending waves of excitement through their massive fan following. Their journey to parenthood has been documented and celebrated on social media, with fans eagerly awaiting the arrival of their little bundle of joy.
Urwa and Farhan got married in a very private event in 2016 at the Badshahi Mosque after he proposed to her at the Eiffel Tower in the ‘city of love’, Paris. Their grand celebrations later lasted for over a week with three dholkis, a nikah, qawwali night and a huge reception.
However, all was not well in the Hocane-Saeed household. Towards the end of 2020, rumours abound that the famous reel- and real-life had separated and were headed for a divorce. And these reports continued to float well up until 2022. That’s when it appeared the actors had got back together, as they were seen attending a couple of events together.
It was the Eid of 2022 when the couple put all the rumors to rest by sharing a happy photograph on the joyous occasion.
