Shadab raises voice against cancer hospital’s fundraising event cancelation

Pakistan cricket team’s spin bowling all-rounder Shadab Khan raised his voice for Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centres (SKMCH & RC).

In a statement posted on X, previously known as Twitter, Shadab Khan questioned why was Shaukat Khanum Cancer Hospital not allowed to arrange a fundraising event.

He empathized with cancer hospitals’ importance for society. Shadab Khan wrote in his message that SKCMH has always done amazing work.

Earlier, the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) administration had canceled the No Objection Certificate (NOC/permit) for the fundraising event of Shaukat Khanum Hospital Karachi on December 28.

The cancer hospital’s fundraising event was scheduled to be held on December 29 at a local hotel in Islamabad.

President Arif Alvi in a statement that SKCMH was internationally recognized, the decision to revoke its permission to collect funds should be withdrawn.
