Siraj sees ‘political uncertainty’ in country

2 min read

Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Emir Sirajul Haq said on Friday that the country was witnessing “political uncertainty.”

Addressing the youth workers’ convention in Lower Dir, Haq said, “The solution to all the problems in the country is the timely elections. If the timely polls are not be held then the country will be further dragged into the quagmire.”

He took a swipe at the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). “The PML-N, PPP, and PTI are responsible for harming the country.”

Haq said, “There is no room for upholding the remote control democracy in the country. If there had been the rule of the JI in the country, none of the single Indian troop would have been allowed in Kashmir.”

The JI chief said on Thursday that corruption and poor governance had harmed the country’s economy.

Expressing his thoughts in Lahore, the JI chief said, “Every citizen is having concerns about the ballooning inflation and unrest prevailing in the country. Those who deceived the nation will be held accountable in the upcoming elections”.

Taking a jibe at the opponents, Haq said: “The rulers have no narrative in line with the upcoming elections. The rulers want more terms, but they should first point out their contributions for the sake of the masses.”

“It is mandatory to follow the country’s ideology to uphold peace, development, and prosperity,” he added.
