PTI Senior Vice President Sher Afzal Marwat has been arrested by the Lahore police. The PTI legal team member was arrested from outside the Lahore High Court on Thursday evening and taken away after being bundled into a car.
The police had to face a lot of resistance from the lawyers present on the occasion who tried to save Marwat from being arrested. However, the PTI leader was arrested and taken away.
The arrest was confirmed by Marwat’s team through a post on his official X account.
According to Lahore police, Marwat was arrested for being a cause of disturbance in society and a case will be registered against him under Section 3 of the MPO.
Order for detaining Sher Afzal Marwat for 30 days had been issued.
