Senior General Manager Domestic Cricket Junaid Zia said on Friday that it is always crucial for the players to perform well in the National T20 Cup in a bid to grab the opportunity of playing in the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
Expressing his thoughts on the domestic T20, Zia asserted, ‘’It is for the first time that many teams are taking part in the National T20 Cup. We have divided the tournament into two legs. In the next phase, the top eight teams of the tournament will lock horns with each other.’’
He expressed his gratitude to the sponsors who are involved in this tournament. ‘’Due to the involvement of the sponsorships, the players get benefits.’’
Zia made it clear that, considering the weather situation, the conditions in Karachi are ideal for organising the National T20 Cup.
