Renowned singer and actor Ali Zafar took a stand against the ongoing atrocities in Palestine during the Distinctive International Arab Festival Awards (DIAFA) held in Dubai.

After receiving the Best Singer award, Zafar used his platform to speak out on the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

At the prestigious ceremony that honored artists from various countries, including India, the US, Lebanon, and the UK, Ali Zafar was vocal about the pressing issue in Palestine. Alongside recognizing artists’ contributions, the event also presented special awards to significant social figures from across the globe.

Attending the event with his wife, Zafar engaged with Bollywood stars Jacqueline Fernandez, Nargis Fakhri, and Aditi Rao Hydari, capturing moments through selfies and interactions.

In his acceptance speech, Zafar emphasized the importance of artists raising their voices against the long-standing atrocities faced by Palestinians. He highlighted that while artists have the privilege of reaching a larger audience, they also carry a moral responsibility as global citizens.

Expressing concern about the prolonged suffering in Palestine, Zafar urged the artist community to leverage their platforms and resources to shed light on the dire situation. He emphasized that beyond their roles as entertainers, they hold the shared responsibility as humans to advocate against such injustices.

Zafar’s impassioned plea received an affirmative response from the audience, with applause and agreement resonating in support of his stance on the Palestinian crisis.
