BEIJING: President of Xinhua News Agency Fu Hua met with Julia Arevalo, president of European Pressphoto Agency (EPA), in Beijing on Tuesday.
Fu welcomed Arevalo’s visit to Xinhua, saying Xinhua and EPA have maintained good cooperation as providers of quality photographic news products. He called on the two agencies to promote their existing partnership and explore new opportunities in video service cooperation.
Thanking EPA for its support for the development of the World Media Summit mechanism, Fu briefed Arevalo on the preparations for the fifth edition of this summit and invited EPA to attend the summit.
Arevalo expressed satisfaction with cooperation between EPA and Xinhua. She said Xinhua has great influence in the world and its business has developed rapidly in recent years, and EPA is happy to participate in the fifth World Media Summit.
