Chicago’s adventurous 104-year-old woman dies after record-breaking skydive

2 min read

A 104-year-old lady from Chicago, named Dorothy Hoffner, recently passed away in her sleep. She had become famous for doing something incredible she went skydiving at her age, and it could have been a world record! She did this exciting jump from an airplane 13,500 feet in the air.

Dorothy’s friend, Joe Conant, who was also a nurse, fondly called her “Grandma.”

He talked about how full of energy she was, and she refused to let her age stop her from doing things she loved.

She didn’t take naps in the afternoon or miss any events or dinners; she was always active and involved.

Just ten days before her passing, Dorothy made history by doing a tandem skydive, which means she jumped out of an airplane while strapped to an expert.

This happened at Skydive Chicago in Illinois.

She did this to show that age should never limit what someone can do in life, and she believed that you’re only as old as you feel.
