Indian film director/producer Karan Johar’s popular talk show, Koffee with Karan, is back with Season 8!
A brand new season of Koffee with Karan will begin streaming on OTT platform Disney+ Hotstar from October 26. This was announced by the host Karan Johar on his official Instagram account alongwith a quirky video.
He captioned the post as: “Turns out, my own Konscience wants to troll me too! But screw what he thinks, I’m still brewing Season 8! #HotstarSpecials #KoffeeWithKaran Season 8 – streams from 26th October only on @disneyplushotstar.”
In the video, KJo, as he is popularly known, is seen mocking himself and the previous season of the show while talking to his alter ego.
In the teaser, Karan Johar, wearing a pink hoodie, meets his inner voice called ‘Kconscience’ that tells him that the last season of his show was not very exciting, and calls it “thanda” and “meh”.
Karan seems surprised and jokingly asks if someone spiked his coffee. Kconscience teases Karan, suggesting that he should have named his show “Cold Koffee With Karan”, and mocks the jokes about star kids, asking if they were even funny.
Kconscience continues to criticize Karan, saying all the episodes were basically the same. It points out that it’s strange for a 50-year-old to interview 20-year-olds about their private lives, questioning if Karan doesn’t have a sex life of his own.
The previous seasons of the show were aired on Star World from 2004 to 2019.
