Islamabad police on Saturday arrested four young TikTokers for wearing burqas. The suspects who were all in their early twenties were arrested from Jilani Bazar in Barakahu area.
The suspects were arrested after they were spotted by patrolling officers.
The TikTokers were riding on two motorcycles with the boys on pillion of each one wearing burqas. They both were aged 17 and 19.
During preliminary investigation, the suspects said that they had disguised themselves as women for a TikTok video. The police summoned their parents to the police station.
Notably, popular video-sharing app TikTok has also been criticized for promoting vulgar and inappropriate content.
