Pakistan Muslim league Nawaz PML-N senior party leader revealed that his party had supported the extension of former chief of army staff General (rts) Qamar Javed Bajwa in 2020 as a strategic move to get rid of PTI Chairman Imran Khan’s political challenges.

Former Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah made this revelation during an appearance on a local TV channel.

The decision to support general Bajwa’s extention was the tactical move aimed at countering what he frequently refers to as ‘fitna’ or anarchy.

It is the second time, Rana Sanaullah had criticized former generals Qamar Javed Bajwa and Faiz Hameed and demanded action against them. Rana emphasized that Nawaz Sharif’s already gave party policy of ‘strict accountability’ of former generals and judges.

In recent weeks, PMLN supremo Nawaz Sharif openly criticized former general Qamar Javed Bajwa and Faiz Hameed. On the other hand, PMLN chief organizer Maryam Nawaz Sharif in a tweet said that PMLN did not believe in taking revenge.

PMLN President Shehbaz Sharif also flown to London to meet his elder brother ahead of Nawaz Sharif’s arriving back to Pakistan.
